Program Description
This year's program provides a perspective on local and national topics within the industry. Our presentations will provide information on new technologies with the Research and Construction Practices breakout sessions and some old school information with the Back to the Basics topics. We're going to update you on the recent and upcoming activities within the legislative arena with a Legislative Funding Update and hear from our local, state, and federal representatives who will present current activities within their areas.
We'll also hear from experts within the asphalt industry with speakers representing academia, suppliers, agency and public entities. This year's conference is highlighted by Jerome Mayne who will educate us all on the Consequences of Fraud and the impacts on our lives. His story tells how he got caught up in a fraud conspiracy that led to complete financial and psychological collapse.
As always, there will be time for valuable networking, and time to meet and talk with other experts and colleagues.
The conference is sponsored by the Minnesota Association of Asphalt Pavement Technologists (MAAPT) in cooperation with Federal Highway Administration, Local Road Research Board, Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA), Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnesota State University-Mankato Extended Learning, and the University of Minnesota Center for Transportation Studies and LTAP Center.
